John Mayer's Indo-Jazz Fusions

Since its inception in the 1960s, this band was the first true 'fusion' project, linking classical music of both Indian and European origin with jazz. Many great players were in the band, notably the late Joe Harriot (whose saxophone chair I had the daunting task of filling when the band re-formed several years ago), and the great trumpeter and composer Kenny Wheeler. Sadly, John Mayer died in 2004, but the band continues to perform from time to time.
